The Loggerheads is like nowhere else! This significant and famous pub is the last surviving venue in the Narrow Marsh area of Nottingham which has a very great age and must have existed for centuries before its debut into history in 1315. The area and the pub have an unimaginable history and there are many stories to be told of the frivolities that have occurred in this extremely interesting relic of the past. The Loggerheads was at the heart of Narrow Marsh and has attracted many characters over the years including the romantic Dick Turpin and other feared highwaymen of the time whose ghosts still haunt the grounds. Narrow Marsh was the natural name of the thoroughfare situated between the river Leen and the foot of St. Mary's cliff which is still visible on Cliff Road. Today, The Loggerheads reveals a new story. We welcome everyone to come and explore this venue and take pleasure in experiencing everything we have on offer, from past to present, at ‘Nottingham’s Best Kept Secret’.
